Wessex family join the Queen at church as Prince Philip spends another night in hospital – pictures

The Queen was joined by The Earl and Countess of Wessex and their children for church on Sunday at Sandringham. 


Countess Sophie spotted in a long cream-coloured coat and wide legged trousers,Prince Edward and Sophie’s son James dressed in a navy blue suit, while Lady Louise wore a pale blue coat and black tights spent the day with the Queen while Prince Philip spends another day in the hospital.

It’s not known whether Prince Philip would be well enough to leave the King Edward VII Hospital in London, where he has been receiving treatment since Friday.

A statement confirmed that the Prince had been admitted to hospital for observation and treatment in relation to a pre-existing condition. A spokesperson at Buckingham Palace said: “The admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’ Doctor.” 


The Queen is currently at her Norfolk estate to enjoy the festive season, attend Christmas Day service accompanied by her immediate family and will be there till after 6th of February as planned.
