Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter loves Christmas AND the environment
Yuletide is nigh again. We’re fast approaching the carols, decorations, merriments, and especially, the spread of love to every corner of out streets. We want to point out how an adorable royal is accelerating the feel of the season through her eco-oriented engagement.
It’s Princess Eugenie! The York royal’s Instagram account took an interesting turn when she shared the new public Christmas decorations she made. The photos the royal shared showed a gigantic Christmas tree on Carnaby Street tagged “One Ocean” and “Carnaby Project Zero”. The tree was colourfully adorned with beautiful items in the shapes of sea creatures – sea horses, starfish, jellyfish, etc. As expected, the green tinsel had its place among the beautiful decorations.
Interestingly, the Queen’s granddaughter is a part of the ocean conservation charity, Project Zero, which focuses on protecting ocean life. The Princess fused her love for the ocean and Christmas together in an intriguing way.
She said,
“It’s that time of year when lights are being turned on to celebrate the season. “A very special installation of Carnaby Christmas lights were switched on last week for Project Zero. The entire installation is made from 100 percent recycled materials, and features corals, sea kelp, starfish, (my favourite) whales, dolphins, and so much more. I’m honoured to be a patron of Project Zero who have taught me so much about protecting the oceans and who are making huge strides to restore and protect 30 percent of the ocean by 2030.”
Fans continue to revel in the Princess’ eco-savvy initiative. Let’s save oceans too, shall we?
