Just before their Wager Task, the Pepper Dem Gang were treated to a self-pampering and exciting session with renowned motivational speaker, Hamisha Daryani Ahuja.
Did you know that our emotional enjoyment, or what we can call happiness, is simply part of human nature? Today, the Housemates had a refreshing session; from the meditation to the words of affirmation to one another, it was sure uplifting. We bet you felt it too.
In the bid to explain to the Housemates how important it is to find happiness, Hamisha revealed that once in a while, it’s okay to take a moment in the pursuit of happiness and just be genuinely happy.
“Once you put a tag to what makes you happy, you get satisfied for a minute after achieving it and the pursuit for another means of happiness begins again,” she said to the Housemates. We couldn’t agree less.
To begin this session, all the Housemates admitted to finding happiness in different things. To Ike, he is in Africa to find his source of happiness while Cindy said seeing her family happy, makes her genuinely happy.
To further buttress her point on staying happy, Hamisha told the Pepper Dem Gang that you will have to pay closer attention to the end goal of emotion and not jump after the first idea the mind offers as a means to get happiness. That leaves us with one question for you, what makes you happy?
Everything is a cruise for the Pepper Dem Gang, so it was no surprise seeing them smile and giggle when the candles were lit and eyes were shut for the meditation session.
Even the reflection music couldn’t stop Mercy and Mike from cruising all through the 5 minutes of meditation.
“You’re determined”, “You’re beautiful and kind” … These are the words we heard from the Pepper Dem Gang as they moved on to this session. For this setting, the Housemates were asked to move around and whisper what they find inspiring about one another.
Who else looked forward to hearing what Seyi had to say to Tacha and vice versa? If you bribe us, we’ll tell you.
Whatever it was that was whispered, caused a huge smile on Tacha’s face. Do we smell reconciliation in the air?
A completely different approach to pursuing happiness is creating happiness from whatever situation we find ourselves in. Thank you for the inspiring words Hamisha Daryani Ahuja, the House will forever remember your soothing presence.
