When Amber Heard filed
for divorce from Johnny Depp after barely a year together, it definitely
raised some eyebrows.
However, it was the 22-year
age difference that really got people talking.
Depp, 52, defended his
relationship with the 30-year-old actress. He said: “We connect on a lot
of levels but the first thing that really got me was she’s an aficionado of
the blues.
“I would play a song,
some old obscure blues song, and she knew what it was. She’s very, very
literate. She’s a voracious reader as I have been, so we connected on that as
well and she’s kind of brilliant and beautiful. I’m a very lucky man.”
However, in light of the
recent news, we can’t help but wonder if their age difference played a part in
their decision to call it quit.
