Supermarket sweep! What you’ll find in the royal family’s weekly shop

While you are out and about with grocery shopping, keep an eye out for Royals too. They shop also.


Last week, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife shared a photo of her grocery shopping on her Instagram page. 


Sarah Ferguson had in her arm, varieties of items while still perusing the store shelf for more. Royal fans couldn’t help but relate with likes and comments. 


You’ll think royalty excluded personal-shopping but you’ll find photos of other royals who picked the basket themselves and checkout over the counter. 


Before her wedding to Prince Harry, Meghan helped herself to kitchen roll, garlic, salad leaves, vegetables and other items in a store in Toronto, Canada.

In November, Kate Middleton went Halloween shopping with Prince George and Princess Charlotte at a Sainsbury’s in Norfolk. Her frequent stops at Waitrose, a local supermarket in Norfolk after the birth of Prince George spotted picking nursing pads and in April 2018. 

The Royal made another stop at Tesco’s in Wales in 2011 on a queue for groceries.

Even the Queen herself has made personal stops at Waitrose store in Poundbury in 2016, in the company of Prince Charles and Camilla, his wife.  The couple didn’t leave empty handed on this particular stop, with the Duchess spotted buying apples and Charles purchasing a few boxes of luxury biscuits

In May 2019 the Queen, again, was at Sainsbury’s store in Covent Garden, London, this time to celebrate the supermarket’s 150th birthday. 


Prince Harry isn’t left out on visits to grocery stores as he was spotted in 2016 at Kensington branch and also in June 2016 where he picked up some Kellogg’s cornflakes and bananas.
