In an emotional Instagram post, the trafficking survivor—who was abused by Jeffrey Epstein as a teenager—shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed, visibly bruised.
In her message, the mother of three expressed her farewell to loved ones, stating, “This year has had the worst start, but I won’t bore anyone with details. It’s important to note that when a school bus driver approaches you at 110 km/h while you’re slowing for a turn, no matter what your car is made of, it might as well be a tin can.”
Guiffre added, “I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, and they’ve given me four days to live as they transfer me to a specialist hospital for urology. I’m ready to go, just not until I’ve seen my children one last time. But you know what they say about wishes: crap in one hand and wish in the other, and I guarantee it’s still going to be crap at the end of the day.”
She also expressed gratitude to her supporters, saying, “Thank you all for being wonderful people and a great part of my life. God bless you all xx Virginia.”
Guiffre, who now resides in Australia, has reportedly become estranged from her husband. A week prior to her hospitalization, she shared feelings of sadness regarding how much she missed her children.
Recently released court documents revealed that Guiffre, 41, alleged she was paid $15,000 (£12,000) to engage in s*xual acts with Prince Andrew. Her claims were part of a civil lawsuit against Epstein’s former associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, in which she detailed the alleged abuse by the Duke of York in 2016.
When questioned under oath in 2016 about whether she received payment “by or on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein” for the encounter—which the Duke denies—Guiffre confirmed, “Yes, I did receive $15,000. I don’t know the equivalent in pounds; I received it in U.S. dollars.”
In 2022, Prince Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement with Guiffre to avoid going to trial, having faced allegations of s*xually abusing her three times when she was 17 years old, while she was a victim of a trafficking ring run by the deceased billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. The Duke has consistently denied the allegations.
