A 21-year-old man, Victor Lorjaal, has been taken into custody for allegedly attacking and killing his mother and elder sister with a machete in Ekiti State.
According to sources who spoke with security analyst Zagazola Makama, the tragic incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on March 25, 2025, at Aba Ele Camp, Itaji Ekiti.
The suspect’s brother, David Ioyzain, reported the case to the police, stating that Victor ambushed their mother, Mrs. Victoria Lorjaal, and their sister, Brenda Lorjaal, while they were collecting charcoal on the farm.
David said he was alerted by his mother’s cries for help and rushed to the scene, only to find both victims lifeless with deep machete wounds.
Victor reportedly fled after the attack but was later found at home with bloodstains on his forehead, nose, and legs. Community members apprehended him and handed him over to the police.
Authorities visited the crime scene, documented evidence, and transferred the victims’ bodies to General Hospital, Ayede.
Police sources confirmed that Victor has been moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation.
