Meghan Markle thrilled audiences on Tuesday with the release of her latest lifestyle series on Netflix. The eight-part show follows the Duchess of Sussex and her celebrity friends as they engage in a variety of activities, including cooking, beekeeping, and event hosting.
Spanning eight 30-minute episodes, Prince Harry makes a cameo appearance in the season finale.
An anonymous crew member shared insights with PEOPLE, revealing that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet often visited the set with their father and even participated in some audio recording tasks.
“Whenever Harry visited, he was always incredibly polite and friendly, but it was clear he wanted this to be Meghan’s moment in the spotlight,” the crew member explained. They also noted Meghan’s nurturing nature, stating, “She was very attentive and doting on them. We would give them headphones so they could listen to the audio.”
While the children only appeared behind the scenes, Meghan frequently mentioned them throughout the series, highlighting their shared passion for cooking.
In the fifth episode, titled “Surprise and Delight,” Meghan revealed that her daughter assisted her in making a batch of jam served to guests Abigail Spencer and Kelly McKee Zajfen. “Lili and I actually made this batch together,” Meghan said while presenting her strawberry preserves for dessert. “She picked berries with me, saying: ‘No, no mama, I’ll do it.’ She’s so proud.”
Meghan also shared that Archie has developed an interest in fishing, revealing that he caught two trout during an outing, and they had a great time salt-baking the fish together.
During her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Meghan expressed how involved Lilibet is in their baking sessions, sharing adorable photos of her daughter dressed in pink with a matching headband as she waited to knead the dough.
Meghan captioned the post: “When making thumbprint cookies at home becomes a family affair! Thanks @heartmom & @clarewaightkeller for the love and extra set of hands!”
