With her 18th birthday just weeks away, Princess Isabella is being honored with two breathtaking new portraits released by the palace on Thursday, along with details of her grand celebrations.
The striking images showcase Isabella as the spitting image of her royal mother, Queen Mary. Dressed in a crisp blue shirt and a navy-blue suit jacket, she exudes elegance in photos shared on the Danish Royal Family’s official Instagram.
The post was captioned: “On Monday, 21st April 2025 (2nd Easter Day), Her Royal Highness Princess Isabella turns 18. Read more about the birthday celebrations in this post. The new portraits of the Princess were taken by Steen Evald.”
In the portraits, Isabella looks flawless, her makeup featuring warm brown eyeshadow, rosy cheeks, and soft pink lip gloss. She accessorized with stylish gold teardrop earrings, a gold bangle, and a gold ring adorned with a stunning green stone.
Fans flooded the comments with praise, with one admirer writing, “Beautiful like her mother,” alongside a red heart emoji. Another added, “What a beautiful picture of Princess Isabella.” While many noted her resemblance to Queen Mary, some pointed out her likeness to her father, King Frederik, with one fan commenting, “Daddy’s girl, I guess! Though Isabella officially turns 18 on April 21, her milestone will be celebrated on April 11 in Aarhus and April 15 in Copenhagen. The festivities will highlight youth culture, creativity, sustainability, and volunteerism.
The first event, hosted by Aarhus Municipality at Aarhus City Hall, will honor young talents across music, sports, food, and design. Around 100 young people from local youth organizations and educational institutions will attend, with an additional 50 guests selected through a lottery.
Four days later, Isabella and the Royal Family will attend a special birthday performance at the Royal Danish Theatre’s Old Stage.
The palace announced: “The Royal House, in collaboration with The Royal Danish Theatre, invites the young generation to an entertaining and diverse evening of performing arts, both classical and modern. Over 1,000 young people aged 17 to 24 from across the Kingdom will have the chance to win tickets via a lottery.”
