Mike and Zara Tindall recently enjoyed a fun-filled ski trip to Saalbach, Austria. Photos shared on the Wings for Life Instagram page on Wednesday captured the couple laughing and smiling as they hit the slopes and took part in local activities.
One photo showed Mike grinning widely on a ski lift with snowy mountains in the background, while another featured Zara, daughter of Princess Anne, posing with an accordion in traditional Austrian attire.
Wings for Life, a nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries, hosted the trip as part of “Mikey’s Mountain Miles,” a week-long ski event led by Mike, who serves as a charity ambassador.
According to an Instagram update, guests spent four days tackling the slopes and raising over £110,000. The post expressed excitement for the event’s next edition in 2027.
The ski getaway followed Mike and Zara’s trip to Australia for the Magic Millions horse racing carnival in Queensland. Zara explained the couple’s tradition of visiting Australia each January:
“We have always loved Australia, and it’s like a home from home for us. We’ve been coming to Queensland for so long now it’s become our yearly tradition. Although the Magic Millions carnival is busy, being by the beach with horse enthusiasts is the perfect way to start the year.”
Reflecting on their time in Australia, Zara added: “Coming out of the cold winter into warm weather and amazing water temperatures is such a joy. The Gold Coast has everything – beaches, horses, and so much more.”
