Kanye West’s Yeezy Website Taken Offline Following Sale Of Swastika Shirts

Kanye West’s Yeezy.com website has gone offline amid ongoing backlash resulting from the artist’s antisemitic rhetoric and controversial merchandise.

The site recently drew attention for selling shirts adorned with a swastika, leading to widespread outrage and prompting action from the platform that hosted it.

The issue escalated after Kanye reportedly invested $8 million in a Super Bowl ad directing viewers to Yeezy.com, which featured the offensive merchandise at the time.

Shopify, the e-commerce platform managing sales for Yeezy.com, promptly cut ties with the site, citing multiple violations of its terms of service and stating that Yeezy.com “did not engage in authentic commerce practices.” Consequently, the platform has fully removed the site.

Despite the controversy, a source informed TMZ that Kanye’s Super Bowl ad resulted in around $2 million in sales, with approximately 100,000 shirts sold at $20 each.

However, it was revealed that Kanye misled Fox, the network that aired the ad, by presenting a version of the website featuring only standard Yeezy athletic apparel during the ad approval process.

The shutdown of Yeezy.com marks another chapter in Kanye’s string of platform losses following his inflammatory actions.

Previously, his account on Elon Musk’s platform, X (formerly Twitter), was censored for explicit content, leading him to deactivate his account. The closure of Yeezy.com further isolates the artist, who continues to face significant criticism for his statements and behavior.
