Princess Lilibet made headlines when she was featured in her first solo portrait on her first birthday in 2022, but did you notice the incredible resemblance she shares with one of her royal relatives?
An old photo of Princess Eugenie at the age of one has resurfaced, and the likeness between her and her cousin, Prince Harry’s daughter, is remarkable.
The sweet image shows Eugenie with her sister, Princess Beatrice, who was three at the time, being held by their mother, Sarah Ferguson, as they boarded the royal barge to join Britannia near Fort William.
Eugenie’s strawberry blonde hair and features are strikingly similar to those of young Lilibet.
In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry shared how much his daughter takes after his side of the family, revealing: “The Spencer gene is very, very strong. I genuinely thought at the start of my relationship with Meghan that if we had kids, the ginger gene wouldn’t stand a chance against my wife’s genes, but I was wrong!”
All three of Princess Diana’s siblings—Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, and Earl Spencer—share the distinctive trait of vibrant red hair, which was passed down to Harry.
Although fans have yet to see a recent close-up of Lilibet’s face, it seems her strawberry blonde hair is lightening over time, as seen in her latest public appearance. The three-year-old appeared alongside her brother, Archie, in a touching video posted by Meghan following the passing of their family dog, Guy.
In the family photo, Lilibet’s hair looked so similar to Eugenie’s from when she was a toddler. We can’t wait to see whether Lilibet’s hair darkens like Eugenie’s or if the Spencer gene continues to shine through!
