Beyoncé’s charitable foundation, BeyGOOD, has contributed $2.5 million to aid relief efforts for the devastating wildfires currently ravaging Southern California.
The Pacific Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire have destroyed approximately 12,000 structures and scorched a combined 37,830 acres. As of Sunday, the death toll has risen to 24.
On Sunday, BeyGOOD announced the donation through its Instagram page, pledging to support families affected by the wildfires.
The post stated: “Los Angeles, we stand with you. BeyGOOD is taking action by announcing the LA Fire Relief Fund with a donation of 2.5 million dollars.”
The foundation explained that the fund will provide assistance to families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who have lost their homes. It will also support churches and community centers addressing the immediate needs of those impacted by the fires.

Founded by Beyoncé in 2013, BeyGOOD focuses on promoting economic equity by supporting marginalized and under-resourced programs.
