In a statement from his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu remarked that Trump’s victory reflects the confidence Americans have placed in his leadership.
He expressed eagerness to strengthen the relationship between Nigeria and the United States, particularly as they face the complex challenges and opportunities of today’s world.
“Together, we can advance economic cooperation, promote peace, and tackle global challenges impacting our citizens,” Tinubu said.
Tinubu added that Trump’s previous experience as the 45th President (2017-2021) will be instrumental in fostering productive economic and developmental partnerships between Africa and the United States in his new term.
Acknowledging the United States’ significant influence on global affairs, Tinubu expressed optimism that President Trump’s leadership will contribute to greater global peace and prosperity.
