Liam Payne’s Final Single Release Delayed Out Of Respect For Family

Music producer Sam Pounds, who worked on Liam Payne’s final single, has chosen to delay the release of the track just days after its announcement.

The single, titled “Do No Wrong,” was scheduled for release this Friday but will remain on hold pending a decision from Payne’s family regarding its public release.

Pounds, known for collaborating with artists like Jamie Foxx and Wiz Khalifa, stated on X, “Today I’ve decided to hold ‘Do No Wrong’ and leave those decisions up to the family. I want all proceeds to go to a charity of their choosing (or however they prefer).”

He expressed his affection for the track but acknowledged that it’s simply “not the time yet” as Payne’s loved ones continue to grieve, adding, “We will all wait.”

Initially, Pounds hoped the single could serve as “a blessing to the world,” honoring Payne’s legacy. However, he later retracted his posts about the release, feeling that the timing might be too soon following Payne’s tragic passing.

Payne, a prominent member of the former boy band One Direction, contributed to five chart-topping albums with the group and released his solo album, “LP1,” in 2019.

His final television project, a Netflix singing competition series titled “Building the Band,” is currently on hold as the entertainment industry and Payne’s family process his unexpected death.

Liam Payne is survived by his parents, Geoff and Karen, his sisters Ruth and Nicola, and his 7-year-old son, Bear.
