On Saturday, King Charles and Queen Camilla shared a stunning photo to mark the end of their royal tour, sparking an outpouring of admiration from fans.

Captured by Getty’s royal photographer, Chris Jackson, the image shows the King and Queen standing on a beach in Apia, Samoa, with Charles gazing lovingly at Camilla, who is dressed elegantly in a white tunic adorned with blue embroidery, while he dons a beige suit.

Their social media post read, “As our visits to Australia and Samoa come to a close, my wife and I would like to thank both nations for the warmest of welcomes and for the countless fond memories we will carry in our hearts for many years to come.

“Even when we are far apart in distance, the many close connections that unite us across the globe and through our Commonwealth family have been renewed, and will remain as profound as they are enduring.”

The touching portrait prompted a wave of supportive comments from royal fans. “What a beautiful photo, look how he looks at his Queen,” one commented, while another echoed, “Such a proud moment—wonderful ambassadors for our country! Long live the King and Queen!” A third shared, “This gorgeous photo reflects their deep love and kindness.” Others noted the tour’s success and the warm reception they received across all stops.

A palace official noted that King Charles found the tour “uplifting” and that he “genuinely thrived” during the visit to Australia and Samoa. The presence of Queen Camilla was said to have been a grounding support, as she “keeps it real.”

Despite pausing his cancer treatment to complete the tour, the King is expected to resume royal travels next year in spring and autumn, pending medical approval.

Since beginning treatment for an undisclosed cancer in February, Charles initially paused all public duties, resuming public appearances by late April.

The visit was largely positive, aside from a brief disruption by Senator Lidia Thorpe in Canberra, which Charles handled calmly.

Highlights of the tour included the couple’s participation in a community barbecue in Australia and their warmly received tea ceremonies in Samoa, ending the trip on a high note.
