As Prince William enjoys a family holiday with Princess Kate and their three children, he’s gearing up for a significant week. The Prince of Wales is set to release his new documentary, Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, which highlights the first year of his Homewards initiative aimed at tackling homelessness.
The two-part film will air on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player on October 30 and 31 at 9pm.
In preview clips, William emphasized that his sole focus is “desperately trying to help” those in need. Addressing critics who might question his role in the project, he responded: “I have no other agenda… I believe that everyone has a right to a safe and stable home, and it’s my responsibility to use my position to help.”
This cause is personal to William, who was inspired by childhood visits to shelters with his late mother, Princess Diana. His dedication to ending homelessness was also evident last week at the Centrepoint awards, where he called for “systemic change” in the UK.
Currently, William is enjoying downtime at Anmer Hall in Norfolk with his family during their October half-term break. He recently revealed that he had been closely following Aston Villa’s Champions League match against Bologna, even tweeting a message to TNT Sports.
In addition to his upcoming Earthshot Prize Awards trip to Cape Town, South Africa, William and Kate recently visited Southport to honor the families of three girls who tragically lost their lives in July, as well as the emergency workers who responded to the incident.
This marked Kate’s first major public engagement since completing chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. She is also planning her annual Christmas Carol Service and is expected to join senior royals at the Remembrance Sunday service in London on November 10.
