Comedian Joe Lycett, known for his playful publicity stunts and the TV show Late Night Lycett, recently discussed his personal life and s*xuality on Bimini Bon-Boulash’s podcast The Pieces.
Lycett, who has previously been open about identifying as pansexual, talked about his relationship with his girlfriend, whom he humorously refers to as “Denise” to protect her privacy.
“Her name isn’t really Denise, but I don’t discuss her much because she has a job that keeps her out of the public eye,” he said, adding a playful note by choosing the name Denise, knowing his partner dislikes it.
During the podcast, he elaborated on his sexuality, explaining that being in a long-term relationship with a woman sometimes leads to confusion.
“There was a brief time when I thought I was gay because I was attracted to men, but then I realized that wasn’t entirely accurate,” he explained, noting that while he often uses the term “bisexual” for ease, he believes “pans*xual” fits him better.
Joe added a humorous touch, clarifying that his attractions aren’t about being drawn to every person but are more focused on specific features, like “a good torso” or “a lovely arm.”
