Manchester City defender Kyle Walker’s wife, Annie Kilner, has reportedly filed for divorce following ongoing revelations about his infidelities, including secretly fathering two children with influencer Lauryn Goodman.
Kyle, 34, married childhood sweetheart Annie, 33, in 2021, but their marriage has been rocked by scandal after it emerged that Kyle had fathered two children with Lauryn during short-lived affairs. Despite reconciling after his first affair, Annie struggled to move forward when Kyle’s secret second child with Lauryn came to light.
Annie learned that Lauryn’s second child, a daughter named Kinara, was Kyle’s after receiving a heartbreaking message on December 27, while pregnant with their fourth child. The message from Lauryn read: “Hey, it’s Lauryn. I just wanted to quickly tell you that Kyle is the father of our daughter.”
After Lauryn confirmed the paternity of Kinara, 1, Annie and Kyle briefly separated.
Now, sources claim that the couple, who have known each other since school, are heading for a permanent split. Annie is reportedly preparing for a legal battle, aiming to claim half of Kyle’s £27 million fortune. Reports suggest that the couple is no longer speaking, with Kyle seeking his own legal advice.
It is believed that Annie served Kyle with divorce papers 10 days ago, and despite living under the same roof, the two have been sleeping separately. A source told The Sun, “Kyle was stunned when he got the papers. They’ve spoken about it, and are discussing the next steps. This doesn’t necessarily mean a divorce, but Annie wants Kyle to know she’s serious. If it’s a bluff, it could backfire.”
An insider also told MailOnline: “Annie can’t forgive Kyle for what he’s done. She has tried, but she can’t get past it. Kyle seems to have accepted it’s over and has been happier in the past week, like a weight has been lifted from him.”
Despite the turmoil in his personal life, Kyle was recently spotted on a golf course in Cheshire, seemingly unfazed by the ongoing situation.
Kyle has previously admitted regret over his actions, saying, “What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility. I made idiot choices and idiot decisions.”
A source close to the couple previously told the Mirror that both Kyle and Annie were hoping to find a resolution to the situation in private. “They just want to focus on their relationship, away from the media spotlight. Kyle has taken responsibility for his ‘idiotic choices’ and will continue to financially support Lauryn’s children,” the source said.
