Lucas Coly, a French-American social media personality, has tragically passed away at the age of 27, as confirmed by his manager.
The rapper died at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the night of October 2, with police reporting that the cause was suicide.
In a heartfelt tribute posted the next morning, his manager wrote, “Rest in peace @iamlucascoly. I love you, bro. My heart is shattered. Wait for me up there. Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here. There’s a void in my heart right now, Lucas. We used to share our struggles but always smiled for the fans. So many people hurt us repeatedly, but we had each other. I’m at a loss for what to do now. I’d be a hypocrite if I told you not to do something and then did the same.”
He also asked for prayers for Coly’s longtime girlfriend, Amber H.
The talent manager, who worked with I Discover Stars Entertainment, mentioned that he had spoken with Coly shortly before his death. “For those wondering how I know this is true: 1) I was his longtime manager, and 2) I was on the phone with him moments before.” He urged everyone to respect Amber’s and the family’s privacy and emphasized the importance of checking in on friends, expressing regret for not doing “more” for Coly.
“He loved all his fans. This year has been the worst of my life. Lucas was more like a brother to me than just a client,” he added.
Just hours before his passing, Coly shared a post on his Instagram Story saying, “I love y’all,” accompanied by an orange heart emoji.
