Lightning struck a house in England, causing an explosion that led to the evacuation of nearby residents.

The incident occurred on Saturday, September 21, prompting firefighters and police to respond to Banbury Street in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, to clear the area.

Security camera footage has surfaced, capturing the exact moment lightning struck the roof just before 5:25 PM.

In the 10-second video, the sky is illuminated by lightning, followed by a loud explosion that reverberates through the neighborhood, accompanied by a bright yellow flash resembling flames from the roof.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service established a cordon at the scene, indicating they would be present for an extended period.

Heavy rainfall resulted in power outages for approximately 1,700 homes across North Staffordshire, with many properties also facing water supply issues. Several major roads were also reported to be flooded.
