Jon Bon Jovi has been hailed as a hero after intervening to prevent a suicidal woman from jumping off a bridge in Nashville, Tennessee.
The dramatic incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, September 11, on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The woman was seen on the edge of the bridge, seemingly contemplating a fatal leap.
A street camera captured footage of a man with slightly long hair approaching her and engaging in conversation. The singer, who was in the area filming a music video for his song “People’s House,” acted around 6 p.m. local time.
The surveillance video, shared by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department on X, shows Bon Jovi and a colleague talking to the distressed woman. Their conversation ultimately persuaded her to step back from the edge, saving her life.
Following the successful intervention, Bon Jovi embraced the woman as she cried, providing her with comfort and support.
