Fans are grieving the loss of actor James Hollcroft, who has been found dead at the age of 26. Hollcroft, known for his role in the TV show Como Dice el Dicho (As The Saying Goes), was discovered near his home in Mexico City. He had been missing since September 3.
His sister, Jane Hollcroft, confirmed the tragic news last week, expressing her profound sorrow and paying tribute to her brother on social media. In an Instagram statement, she wrote: “I will love you forever. Thank you for the years we shared and for the magnificent moments you gave me. You will always be in our hearts, little brother.”
The exact details surrounding James’s death are yet to be confirmed by his family and authorities. According to Jane, he was returning to his residence in Tizapan Mexico when he went missing. James was a student at the nearby Artistic Education Centre, operated by Televisa.
The school paid tribute to James in a Facebook post: “Thank you for all the good times we shared during your acting training. We will remember you fondly and keep you in our hearts. You will always be part of our CEA family. Farewell, dear James Hollcroft.”
Friend Luis Duval also mourned his passing in a now-deleted post: “I love you so much. I’m going to miss you. Fly high, my friend. I will always remember how great you were.”
Brother-in-law Aruto Avila shared his grief: “I wish this were just a dream. Thank you for being the brother you were, the uncle to your nephews, and the wonderful son you were. We will miss you dearly. Though the curtain falls here, I know you are in heaven creating that grand staging you always spoke about.”
In addition to his role on Como Dice el Dicho, James also appeared in the 11th series of Dime Que Si (Tell Me Yes), which is now in its 16th season.
