During a recent visit to Swiss Valley Community Primary School in Llanelli, Prince William offered a delightful glimpse into his daughter Princess Charlotte’s interests.
While attending the event, where he enjoyed a selection of Welsh songs, the Prince spoke with student Ruby Davies and mentioned how much nine-year-old Charlotte enjoys performing. He noted that he had watched Ruby’s performance video “several times” and planned to show it to Charlotte, who has a passion for dancing.
Ruby, who won an individual reciting competition at the 2024 Urdd Eisteddfod, presented Prince William with a book of postcards from the students and friendship bracelets for his children.
The Prince was touched by the gesture, commenting on how the children would wear the bracelets and jokingly noted he would keep them away from Louis to prevent him from stealing them.
Princess Charlotte’s enthusiasm for various activities, including gymnastics, ballet, and horse riding, is well-known. During a 2023 engagement with Standfast & Barracks, the Princess of Wales was gifted a hand-drawn picture and flowers by seven-year-old Emily May Catto.
When Emily mentioned her love for dancing, Kate shared that Charlotte also enjoys ballet and tap, encouraging her to keep dancing.
Both Prince William and Kate have previously spoken about Charlotte’s love for dance, with William mentioning it to former Maltese president Joseph Muscat in 2018, and Kate discussing it with English National Ballet director Tamara Rojo in 2017.
