Piers Morgan Criticized Man U Coach, Erik Ten Hag, Calling Him “Complete Idiot” For Inability To Manage Top-Tier Players

The British media personality, who previously referred to Ten Hag as a “clown” for his handling of Cristiano Ronaldo, which led to the mutual termination of Ronaldo’s contract with United, believes Ten Hag has a significant flaw holding him back from success.

“Ten Hag is a complete idiot,” Morgan said on talkSPORT. “He has been since he arrived. He talks nonsense and now he’s going on about Harry Potter or something. Everything Ronaldo told me about him in that interview was true, and it led to Ronaldo leaving United.”

Morgan went on to say, “The biggest issue with Ten Hag is that he’s like a bossy school teacher who can’t handle exceptional talent. Look at the players he’s struggled with at United—Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford. It’s always the top players. He can manage the lesser-known ones, like those he brought from Ajax, but not the stars.”

Morgan also criticized United’s current form, saying, “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but they’ve actually gotten worse than last season. If Ronaldo had stayed, he would have been far better than any striker they have now, as he’s proving for Portugal.”

Ronaldo, now with 901 career goals, recently scored a late winner in Portugal’s 2-1 Nations League victory over Scotland. Morgan concluded by calling Ronaldo “the greatest to ever play the game” and predicted that he would reach 1,000 goals.
