Prince William is set to return to his royal duties on Thursday with a visit to the Saatchi Gallery in London, where he will attend the “Homelessness: Reframed” exhibition.
This display offers artists affected by homelessness a platform to share their stories. William, 42, launched the Homewards initiative last year with the goal of ending homelessness permanently.
It remains unclear when Princess Kate, also 42, will resume her public engagements as she continues her cancer treatment. This year, she has made only two significant public appearances: at Trooping the Colour in June and at the Wimbledon men’s final in July.
During the summer holidays, William and Kate enjoyed quality family time, including two distinct trips. The family first spent time at their Norfolk residence, Anmer Hall, near the King’s Sandringham estate.
A video message of a bearded William and Kate congratulating Team GB on their Paris 2024 Olympic success was filmed in Norfolk. In August, the family was also seen having fun with a nerf gun battle at Bear Grylls’ Gone Wild festival at nearby Holkham Hall.
Later, the family of five joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral for their annual summer retreat at the Scottish estate. William, Kate, and their eldest son, George, were spotted attending the Sunday service at Crathie Kirk church over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Kate wore a checked coat and a feathered hat as she sat in the passenger seat.
William also attended the funeral of his late maternal uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk, on 28 August. There, he had a brief reunion with his brother, Prince Harry, who had quietly flown in from California.
Prince Harry is expected to make a solo trip to New York this month for engagements with some of his charities and patronages.
Meanwhile, the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, organized by William, will also take place in New York on 24 September, coinciding with Harry’s visit. However, it is understood that while William traveled to New York for the event last year, he will not attend the 2024 summit.
