Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, urged his fans to respect the law and avoid spraying money at parties upon his release from Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Monday.

Bobrisky had spent six months in prison for naira abuse after spraying money at an event.

In an interview with GoldMyneTV, Bobrisky advised, “Follow the rules, abide by the law. Don’t spray money, unless you’ll be a landlord inside Kirikiri.” He emphasized that even minor infractions can lead to imprisonment and expressed gratitude to the friends who supported him during his incarceration.

Hours after his release, Bobrisky hosted a celebration party, as seen in a circulating video. PUNCH Metro reports that the crossdresser was sentenced on April 12, 2024, for naira abuse. During his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Lagos, Bobrisky pleaded for a second chance to educate his followers about the consequences of spraying money.

“I will do a video on my page and I will educate people about spraying money. I will not repeat this, My Lord. I regret my actions,” he said.

A top official at the correctional facility, speaking anonymously, confirmed that Bobrisky was treated like other inmates and was examined upon admission.

The examination revealed no realignment of gender or genital organs, affirming his male biological features. He was allocated a cell and bed space, similar to a boarding house setup.
