A new report in People reveals that Prince Harry and King Charles’ relationship is so strained that the monarch is ignoring his son’s calls.
The two have not seen each other since February, when Harry made a brief visit to the UK following the public revelation of the King’s cancer diagnosis.
Despite a positive meeting during that visit, their communication has since deteriorated.
“He gets ‘unavailable right now,'” a friend of Harry’s told People. “His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the King’s health, but those calls go unanswered too.”
Buckingham Palace declined to comment when HELLO! inquired about Harry and Charles’ private contact.
During that brief trip, Harry, 39, did not meet with his older brother Prince William, 42. When he returned to London for the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games in May, Harry did not see either William or Charles.
At the time, a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex attributed the lack of interaction to the King’s “full schedule,” as Charles was hosting a garden party at Buckingham Palace just a few miles from St Paul’s Cathedral, where Harry was attending the Invictus ceremony.
