Elon Musk stated his plans to commence donations in July to the America PAC, dedicated to supporting Trump’s presidential bid, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
However, Musk’s name did not appear in the super PAC’s filing on Monday, which disclosed raising over $8 million.
The super PAC, established in late May, has received contributions from other prominent figures in the business world, including Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale and cryptocurrency billionaires Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, according to the filing.
Lonsdale donated $1 million to America PAC through Lonsdale Enterprises, an entity associated with the tech investor, as reported by multiple sources.
Each of the Winklevoss twins contributed $250,000 to the super PAC, as indicated by the FEC filing.
Musk is currently the sole Fortune 100 CEO publicly endorsing a candidate in the 2024 presidential race.
Following an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Musk expressed his endorsement for Trump on X Saturday, stating, “I fully endorse President Trump and wish him a swift recovery,” alongside a video of the incident where a bullet grazed his right ear.
Previously, Musk disclosed voting for Democratic candidates, including President Joe Biden, in the past three election cycles.
However, he has recently voiced discontent with Democratic policies, particularly Biden’s ongoing support for labor unions and decisions concerning immigration and border issues.
