On the second day of their tour of the Channel Islands, the King and Queen were visiting Guernsey when Her Majesty reportedly suffered an ankle sprain.
The tour had commenced in Jersey on Monday. While in Guernsey, the royal couple greeted well-wishers en route to the Special Sitting of the States of Deliberation of Guernsey’s Parliament.
Despite her injury, the Queen looked stylish in a pair of low-heeled Chanel pumps, using her umbrella for support as she walked beside her husband. Camilla wore a vibrant royal blue coatdress and smiled for the cameras as she waved to the gathered crowds.

The King and Queen couldn’t have looked happier as they made their way past members of the public who had gathered to see them.

Charles was photographed during the Special Sitting of the States of Deliberation of Guernsey’s Parliament. On the Channel Islands, the King is known as the Duke of Normandy, a title that dates back to 1106 when Henry I, son of William the Conqueror, seized the Duchy of Normandy, including the islands. At official functions, islanders raise a loyal toast to “The Duke of Normandy, our King.”
The States sitting was followed by a Ceremony of Homage, a tradition observed during the monarch’s first visit to Guernsey. During the ceremony, historic title-holders, seigneurs, and dames of small parcels of land known as fiefs paid homage, with the ceremony conducted in French. Charles was also presented with ceremonial silver spurs.
Warm Welcome
The crowds gathered in the sunshine to greet the King and Queen as they toured local businesses around St Peter’s Port.
Charles was greeted with cheers, handshakes and even a kiss from one local.
Royal Guernsey Goat
The King and Queen met Tamsin, an eight-year-old Golden Guernsey goat affectionately known as Tamtam. She is the first livestock breed to receive a protective title in recent history. This royal title will apply to all Golden Guernseys on the island and worldwide.
A Gift for Her Majesty
The Queen looked incredibly touched as she was given a birthday card from the school children.
