The event marked the union of billionaire heir Anant Ambani and his fiancée Radhika Merchant in a lavish traditional Hindu ceremony held in Mumbai, India, following five months of extravagant celebrations estimated to cost around $600 million.
In addition to the wedding’s staggering cost, it was the star-studded guest list that captured attention. Kim and Khloe mingled with fellow celebrities, alongside world leaders, tech billionaires, and former prime ministers.
While Kim and Khloe are celebrities in their own right, many wondered about their presence at the event. Beyond their connection to the bride and groom, the Kardashian sisters also disclosed another reason for their attendance to fans.
Posting on Instagram Stories, Kim explained simply: “We’re just happy to be lucky enough to travel the world together!” The mother-of-four added that the sister duo were also busy filming. And duh we were filming The Kardashians too so you guys can see Kim and Khloe take India.”
The reality stars frequently capture their major life events for their show, including weddings, global fashion weeks, and family vacations.
In a social media post, Kim was photographed holding the hand of the groom’s mother.
Business magnate Mukesh Ambani and his wife, Nita, were also captured in a video entering the grand venue, where Nita was seen holding Kim’s hand, highlighting the close personal bond between the reality star and the affluent family.
