An unidentified man in Abuja has climbed a broadcast mast on Katampe Hill, threatening to jump unless his demands, which include the restoration of fuel subsidies and an end to insecurity, are met.

Before scaling the mast, he left a suicide note at its base.

Authorities from the Fire Service, NEMA, and FCT are on the scene attempting to persuade the man to come down.
