On Wednesday, Jennifer Lopez was finally asked point blank about the ongoing speculation that her marriage to Ben Affleck is over.
The 54-year-old was faced with the hot question during a press conference for her new Netflix film Atlas in Mexico City on Wednesday.
Crowd Didn’t Expect it
In a now-viral video, a male reporter shocked the crowd when he asked the On The Floor hitmaker to confirm if the ‘Ben Affleck rumors’ were ‘real.’
She looked tense as she tried to laugh it off while her co-star Simu Liu quickly jumped to her defense.
Lopez — who was still wearing her wedding ring — then playfully scolded the man. ‘You know better than that,’ she said.
Lopez did not attempt to deny rumors her fourth marriage is on the rocks.
Viewers Drop Their Cents
The crowd applauded J.Lo for how she handed the situation while one of the panelists warned other reporters to steer clear of that line of questioning.
‘C’mon, don’t come in here with that,’ they said.
A video of the interaction was shared to Instagram, where fans shared their thoughts in the comment section.
Some thought that Lopez looked visibly upset and ‘hurt’ by the reporter’s question.
‘She looks so hurt when asked that question. They should just leave her alone,’ one commenter wrote.
Another fan begged the media to stop ‘getting into her life.’
