Russia Gathers Over Half A Million Troops On The Front Line To Overpower Ukrainian Forces

Analysts report that Russia has assembled over half a million frontline troops in a dramatic attempt to overpower Ukrainian forces.

Vladimir Putin’s army significantly outnumbers troops supported by Western nations, leading to concerns about ammunition supplies being depleted.

Dr. Jack Watling, of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), said: ‘The Russian armed forces have now increased to 510,000 troops. The prospects for Ukraine are bleak. His allies need to replenish their supplies.”

The cautionary statement surfaced as Russia persisted in its northern Ukraine advance, posing a threat to Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city.

Defense Secretary Grant Shapps hinted that the advance had caused complacency among Western powers.

Additionally, it potentially prompted a visit by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Kiev yesterday, aimed at reassuring President Volodymyr Zelenskiy about the forthcoming US military aid.

Mr Blinken said: “We know this is a challenging time. But American aid will really make a difference against continued Russian aggression on the battlefield.”

After several months of disagreements involving Republican lawmakers, Congress recently approved a $60 billion package.
