The Atlanta Police Department responded to a call around 4:50 p.m. reporting multiple people near Verbena Street in northwestern Atlanta.
A 24-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the arm, while a 27-year-old man was shot in the back; both were conscious and transported to the hospital. Another man, aged 23, suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and transported himself to the hospital.
A source close to the Atlanta-born recording artist, who spoke anonymously to The Times, confirmed that Lil Baby and his team were not involved in the altercation.
The police stated that the incident occurred during a video shoot and that the investigation was ongoing.
Atlanta Police Maj. Ralph Woolfolk stated that the individuals shot were not part of the video production team, although some individuals associated with the production may have been involved. The shooting is believed to be an isolated and targeted incident.
Video footage posted on Instagram by a local restaurant, Slapping Tacos ATL, showed Lil Baby and his entourage arriving at the scene after the shooting occurred.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene with multiple gunshots fired in the parking lot of the Village Retail center.
TMZ obtained footage showing a group of men appearing to film their own content nearby when the shots were fired.
