The Designer Heels Worn By Queen Mary Could Easily Be Mistaken For A Pair Straight Out Of Carrie Bradshaw's Wardrobe

Queen Mary of Denmark exuded a stunning ethereal charm as she graced The Royal Palace in Oslo, Norway to attend a gala dinner hosted by King Harald V and Queen Sonja, coinciding with her 20th wedding anniversary.

The Australian-born Danish royal, aged 52, looked absolutely breathtaking in an unexpected pastel gown, but it was her remarkable footwear that drew attention. Walking alongside the Norwegian monarch, the Queen sported a pair of mauve-toned grey heels from Manolo Blahnik. These ‘Hangisi 105’ satin shoes featured a striking diamanté buckle on the toe and a slender stiletto heel.

Not only were the Queen’s heels exceptionally elegant, but they also bore a striking resemblance to those famously worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in her iconic role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City.

Carrie’s Hangisi 105s were a regal blue hue and have previously garnered attention from Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands, who donned the exact same pair at the 18th birthday gala of Queen Mary’s eldest son, Prince Christian, last October.

Queen Mary’s Picture-Perfect Gown

To complement Mary’s shoes reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw’s style, she donned a majestic lilac gown adorned with a voluminous floor-length skirt and a cinched waistline.

The gown also boasted a delicate layer of chiffon draping gracefully over the neckline and extending down her arms, forming sheer elbow-length sleeves. To achieve this exquisite ensemble, her Birgit Hallstein gown from 2015 underwent alterations to incorporate the chiffon panel across the neckline.

Mary had previously worn this gown to the royal wedding of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden.

Queen Mary’s Heirloom Tiara

A stately gala dinner wouldn’t be complete without an abundance of royal jewelry. As reported by The Court Jeweller, Mary adorned herself with the Pearl Poire tiara and matching earrings, previously worn by her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe.

The tiara, named for the exquisite pear-shaped pearls adorning it, has a rich history dating back to 1825. It was bestowed upon Princess Louise of Prussia as a wedding gift when she married Prince Frederick of the Netherlands.

In addition to the tiara, Mary wore a sizable diamond and pearl cluster brooch. According to The Court Jeweller, this brooch was Queen Lovisa of Sweden’s wedding present from her brother and sister-in-law, Emperor Alexander III, and Empress Marie Feodorovna of Russia.
