A group of men go berserk at a British-run pub called the Fighting Cocks as they attack another with bar stools in an orgy of violence.
One brave English barmaid can be overheard shouting: ‘Move, get out of the f****** bar’ as the attackers target a man beside her who police sources described today as a customer.
What Happened?
The victim was filmed using a bin to protect himself as one of the assailants, who had a hoodie drawn up around his face, tried to hit him with a weapon.Â
A man in shorts and a sports top tried to stop the violent pair, part of a group of three men described as Moroccans, shouting: ‘Stop’ in English before closing the door behind them as he yelled the same again in Spanish after they fled the scene.
The shocking incident happened at the Brit-popular drinking hole The Fighting Cocks in Estartit, a small town and seaside resort on Costa Brava in the border Catalan province of Girona, over the weekend.
The pub, which has a mixed clientele and has been around for decades, was open for business as usual yesterday.
Its British owner said last night: ‘It was pretty bad but fortunately no-one was hurt and very little damage done and we’d prefer not to comment beyond that.’
