Phone theft is the latest kind-of-crime trending in London, it has been like this since months now.
How it Happened
This time around, it was a balaclava-clad criminal who snatched the phone in a moment from a woman before racing away.
The incident happened in Albany Place in Marylebone, near Regent’s Park, with footage shared and going viral on X, formerly Twitter.
The account uploading the clip captioned it with the words of warning: ‘Keep your head on swivel when in London.’

Last month, two masked thieves in north-west London’s Hampstead were seen grabbing a phone from a pedestrian and fleeing on their bikes before crashing into an incoming car.
The female victim of the theft is seen attempting to chase after the offender while calling out: ‘Hey, come back here.’
Meanwhile, another cyclist in a balaclava had passed by her in the seconds beforehand.
People have since been taking extra precautions these days amid rising crime fears in the capital.
