Meghan Markle attended a charity polo match on Friday to support her husband, the Duke of Sussex, and celebrated his victory by giving him a congratulatory kiss as his team Sentebale emerged triumphant.
The Duke, aged 39, competed against his longtime friend Nacho Figueras in the Royal Salute Polo Challenge, which raises funds for Harry’s charity, Sentebale. Despite not scoring in the first match, the Duke’s team, Sentebale, clinched a 1-0 win.
In the subsequent match against Nacho, the Duke scored a point, contributing to his team’s victory and securing their title as champions for the day.
“Well done, everyone!” Meghan said as she greeted the Sentebale team.
Harry took to the field later in the day, donning a blue jersey and white riding pants for the two matches he was scheduled to play, showcasing his polo skills as the crowd cheered him on.
Meghan elegantly attired in an ivory silk and hemp Heidi Merrick dress valued at $515, which featured a playful cut-out section ideal for the warm Wellington, Florida climate, complemented her outfit with Aquazzura heels, vintage Chanel jewelry, and a Valentino purse.
Arriving at the trophy ceremony in a golden cart alongside Nacho’s wife Delfina, the Duchess was assisted off the stage by Harry after the presentations. As Nacho’s team received their awards—a bottle of Royal Salute and a frame from Inkerwell—he bantered with the announcer, claiming he had scored three goals that day, contrary to the tannoy’s announcement of two.
Nacho’s eldest son Hilario was also part of his team. Earlier in the day, Meghan warmly embraced Argentine polo player Nacho and his 11-year-old daughter Alba upon their arrival, before posing for photos alongside Nacho and his wife Delfina Blaquier.
The Sentebale executives were also greeted warmly, and when Harry and Nacho stepped forward for photographs, Meghan and Delfina walked hand in hand out of the step and repeat.
There was also a touching moment when Meghan put her arm around young Alba’s shoulder as they entered the event, prompting Nacho to jest with the Duke and Duchess about Alba’s curiosity regarding their youngest daughter Lili’s absence.
