Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially announced their upcoming Netflix projects, centered on topics that resonate deeply with them.
Although the titles for both shows are currently undisclosed, Meghan Markle will host the first series, celebrating the pleasures of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship.
Serving as executive producers alongside the Duchess are Chanel Pysnik, Hariton, Aaron Saidman, and Eli Holzman for IPC. Additionally, director Michael Steed and showrunner Leah Hariton are attached to the project.
The second series will delve into the world of professional polo, a passion of Prince Harry’s, as he continues to actively participate in the sport. Filming for this project is underway at the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida.
Miloš Balać will assume the role of showrunner, having previously served in the same capacity for “Welcome to Wrexham,” a documentary chronicling the acquisition of a Welsh football club by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
This announcement follows closely on the heels of Meghan Markle’s launch of her own luxury lifestyle brand, American Rivera Orchard, featuring an extensive range of products spanning from beauty items to interior and gardening tools. Meghan’s past experience with her lifestyle blog, The Tig, where she spotlighted sustainable products, informs her latest venture.
Having inked their Netflix deal in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle debuted their docu-series, “Harry & Meghan,” in 2022, offering an intimate look into their lives from Meghan’s upbringing to their royal wedding and eventual departure from the monarchy.
Additionally, they have produced “Live to Lead,” an interview series, and “Heart of Invictus,” a documentary series highlighting the Invictus Games, an initiative founded by Prince Harry in 2014.
Netflix has confirmed that more projects from the Duke and Duchess will be arriving on the streaming platform in the future.
“The bond with Archewell Productions is one we deeply value,” they explained. “Harry & Meghan launched as Netflix’s most spectacular documentary debut to date. Our exciting journey with them isn’t ending anytime soon. We’re currently collaborating on numerous projects, including the much-anticipated documentary series Heart of Invictus.”
