Shakira’s romance with British actor Lucien Laviscount has sparked concern among her friends, who fear the actor is only in it for the fame, and nothing else.
Who is Shakira Dating Now?
In the steamy music video for Shakira’s song Punteria, a topless Lucien, 31, was seen caressing the Colombian singer’s cheek. The display of affection has since sent tongues wagging in speculations of real-life romance.
Insiders have since confirmed they are together, but are not ‘heavily involved,’ much to the relief of 47-year-old Shakira’s friends, who reportedly fear the Emily In Paris star will break her heart.
Why Friends Are Worried?
An insider reveals to DailyMail: ‘Shakira is desperate to fall in love – but her friends are concerned because Lucien has slowly crept his way up the celebrity ladder while dating women who were all less famous than Shakira.’
‘The women he has been with are all very different. Now he is seeing Shakira – and she wants love.
‘But her friends fear he just wants people to know his name and she provides that. They are seeing each other but are not heavily involved yet.’

They claimed that she is ‘not over her ex’ Gerard Piqué and that everyone around her ‘knows that Lucien is a rebound.’

Shakira, met the British-born star on the set of her video, in which he plays her love interest, back in February.
The duo have spent enough quality time together since then.
