Celebrity Big Brother star George Gilbey, 40, PLUNGED to his death in ‘work accident’

Celebrity Big Brother star George Gilbey, 40, who shot to fame on the second series of Gogglebox with his mother Linda McGarry and step-father Pete in 2013, has tragically plunged to his death in a horror accident at work.

How it Happened

The 40-year-old TV personality had been working at height in Shoebury, Southend-on-Sea, when he fell and sustained an injury at around 10am on Wednesday and did not survive despite efforts from air ambulances to save his life, per police report.

Police have since set up a cordon remains at the EGL Homecare, where the tragedy happened.

Pictures show a large blue cherry picker leading up to the roof of the 35ft building where scaffolding poles and other building materials are lined up, while two police cars are visible.

Police Lunches a Probe

Investigation is going on as Essex Police is working alongside the Health and Safety Executive. 

The Googlebox star had lost his step-father Pete about three years after he died from bowel cancer aged 71.
