The Prince and Princess of Wales found themselves at the heart of yet another social media frenzy this week as the first video footage of Kate surfaced since her abdominal surgery two months ago.
The Princess appeared cheerful and in good health as she joined her husband William in picking up supplies at The Royal Farms Windsor Farm Shop, located approximately a mile away from their residence at Adelaide Cottage.
The couple now resides in a quaint and modest royal dwelling situated on King Charles’ Windsor estate, having relocated from their larger Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace in 2022.
The Royal Farms Windsor Farm Shop
William and Kate have convenient access to a wonderful local grocery store located just a brief three-minute drive from their residence. Earlier this week, they were spotted gathering supplies there, with Kate seen carrying a bag.
The Royal Farms Windsor Farm Shop, established in 2001, was developed through the transformation of Victorian potting sheds and the construction of two new buildings, which now house the Farm Shop and the Coffee Shop.
The establishment specializes in locally sourced goods and produce from the Royal Estates and The Great Park, including meat sourced from animals raised on the Crown Estate and private Home Park. Additionally, the café offers a selection of cakes, pastries, cream teas, deli items, and organic coffee.
Windsor Castle
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis thoroughly enjoy themselves at Grandpa Wales’ residence, Windsor Castle. The expansive gardens and grounds of King Charles’ abode provide ample space for the children to romp around freely or ride their bikes and scooters.
Moreover, the castle boasts the remarkable Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, renowned as one of the largest and most illustrious dolls’ houses globally. This year commemorates the 100th anniversary of the dolls’ house, complete with modern amenities such as electricity, functional lifts, running water, and opulent royal suites. Undoubtedly, George, Charlotte, and Louis would have been captivated by the meticulous replica of the Edwardian residence if they have had the chance to explore it.
Windsor Great Park
Windsor Castle is encompassed by vast parklands, including the Home Park, the Long Walk—a tree-lined avenue—and the expansive Windsor Great Park. Members of the royal family, including the late Queen, indulge in horse riding within the Windsor Great Park, and it is known that royal children are encouraged to learn horse riding from a tender age.
George has been receiving riding lessons in Windsor since the age of four, and he previously honed his skills on a Shetland pony owned by William’s cousin, Zara Tindall, an Olympic equestrian. The park, sprawling across 5,000 acres, also features an enclosed deer park that serves as a habitat for a significant herd of semi-wild red deer.
The Christmas Tree Shop at Windsor Great Park
A beloved holiday tradition for the Wales family, the Christmas Tree Shop at Windsor Great Park is where William and Kate annually acquire their Christmas tree. Last year, William and the children were seen perusing the selection of trees available at the shop.
