Ed Sheeran gave his fans a ‘pleasant’ shock with a bilingual performance in Mumbai on Saturday night.
Many fans can’t believe their eyes/ears as the Shape Of You hitmaker, 33, showed off his heartwarming language skills after the star sang in Punjabi for the first time ever during the latest leg of his tour in India.
During the show that left his fans speechless, Ed Sheeran invited Indian singer and actor, Diljit Dosanjh, 40, up on to the stage for a duet in front of the thrilled crowd in numbers of 50,000.
Crowds went wild when the duo gave a rendition of Dosanjh’s hit track Lover in Punjabi.
After the show both stars took to social media with clips to reflect on the special experience on stage.
Ed wrote: ‘Got to bring out Diljit Dosanjh tonight in Mumbai and sing in Punjabi for the first time. I’ve had such an incredible time in India, more to come!’
Meanwhile, Dosanjh shared the video with the caption reading: ‘Brother singing in Panjabi for the first time.’

It’s not the first time Dosanjh, 40, has paired up with a Western star in Punjabi.
Last year, he released a song called Hass Hass, which he collaborated on with Sia.
Fans praised the Indian star for getting another big name to sing in the Indian language.
