Love Island’s Georgia Steel is taking a break from social media after cruel trolls targeted her with ‘vile threats and nasty messages’.
The influencer, 25, was a divisive figure on the ITV show after becoming embroiled in a love square with Toby Aromolaran, 24, Callum Jones, 27, and Tom Clare, 24, admitting she has feelings for all of them.
But in the end, Georgia and Toby decided to focus only on each other and finished in fourth place, with the couple now ‘locked in’ and still ‘in a really good place’.

Georgia is the only All Stars islander who hasn’t posted on social media since the series ended on February 19.
A source said: ‘Georgia felt like she needed to take a bit of an extended social detox. She was really quite shocked when she heard about the trolling she received while she was in the villa and wants to keep offline for a bit.
‘It was a really horrible experience for her friends and family having to see such nasty comments and hate on her feed.
‘She is really happy and in such a good place with Toby. She also knows she has had a lot of support online and is grateful.’
A spokeswoman for Georgia said: ‘Georgia is enjoying a short social media break and will be back very soon.’
About Georgia and Toby
Georgia and Toby, who had history prior to this series of Love Island, began the series coupled up, however they chose to go their separate ways after Toby told Georgia he was open to get to know other people.
While Toby turned his attentions to Arabella Chi, Georgia decided to get to know both Callum and Tom, only for Toby to confess he still had feeling for Georgia during a shock recoupling.
Why She Was Branded Sneaky
During the PDA Awards, Georgia was branded ‘sneaky’ and a ‘game player’ as her connections with the three boys were revealed to her fellow Islanders.
Georgia’s family were then forced to hit out at cruel online trolls who targeted her on social media and criticised her behaviour while she was still in the South African villa.

A statement on her Instagram Stories read: ‘Love Island is an amazing TV show and we have loved watching this series as much as everybody else.
‘The last few episodes have been difficult for us to watch, but what’s far worse is the hate Georgia is receiving online.
‘It’s a TV show and everyone has their opinions, please remember it’s not real life!
‘Sending vile threats and nasty messages and comments is totally unacceptable. Trolling is not OK
‘Georgia is a daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend, and these hurtful comments will not only devastate her when she leaves the villa, but have deeply hurt those around her.
‘For the messages of love, support and kindness we see you and we thank you!’
They added in a separate post: ‘There is power in kindness.’

An ITV spokesperson said: ‘We would always urge our viewers to be kind when engaging in social media conversations about our Islanders, and to remember that they are real people with feelings.’
Georgia’s best friends also begged trolls to ‘take it easy’ on the star and revealed they too have received death threats because of their association with her.
Support From Her Comrades
Taking to Instagram, Elma Pazar, 30, and Francesca Allen, 28, who appeared on series five of Love Island, spoke out in solidarity with Georgia’s family after they issued a statement about the vile abuse they had received.
Issuing a joint statement on the matter, Elma and Francesca penned: ‘Georgia is our friend and it’s really sad to see death threats and extremely nasty messages towards her – not only in her DMs but also ours and her family’s.’
It continued: ‘Everyone’s entitled to their opinions, just take it easy. Love Elma & Fran xxx.’
