The four remaining stars – Sam Thompson, Josie Gibson, Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage – took part in the iconic Celebrity Cyclone challenge ahead of the big final tomorrow, where one will be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.
On tonight’s show, Josie revealed the news to camp that they were heading out for Celebrity Cyclone today. “Get you skimpies on, we’re going out. It’s like the most iconic thing in the world. It’s so cool!” Sam shared.
Picking his superhero name, Nigel said: “My name is ‘Disruptor’ because I’ve spent my whole life disrupting things,” whilst Tony joked: “I reckon the world is close to coming to an end. I’ve got hot pants on and I’m going to jump on an inflatable toy with Nigel Farage.”
“Really? A red cape. Knowing which football team I support. You’re supposed to get rewarded for getting this far. This isn’t a reward,” he shared whilst Josie “didn’t know where to look with their outfits.
Sam dubbed himself “Super-Merf” whilst Josie said she was called “Finger Slinger” as the “fastest gunslinger in the west.” Tony went with his usual camp name of Teddy T,” before the group all made their way to the trial clearing.
Introducing them to the cyclone, Dec said: “It’s big, it’s wet, it comes round once a year, and it’s Celebrity Cyclone! As always, the Cyclone will throw some surprises your way – mostly ball-shaped surprises. So do your best to avoid them, as much as you possibly can.”
They agreed on the order of Nigel, Josie, Sam and Tony and there were nearly fears they might not actually complete it.
Giving their verdict on the challenge – and joking their eyes were burning from the extra tight pants the men were wearing, one fan wrote: “Don’t think they are wearing the outfits correctly?!,” whilst a second added: “I’ve seen way too much of Nigel Farage this year #ImACelebrity.” A third shared: “Never did I think I would see Nigel farage in speedos, but like they say expect the unexpected.”
