Meghan Markle Opts For $1,490 Poppy Cardigan To Meet Veterans

Meghan Markle swapped one designer ensemble for another while visiting veterans with Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex started her Thursday at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, Calif., clad in a sold-out Carolina Herrera cardigan that originally retailed for $1,490 along with a Lafayette 148 skirt she previously wore in September for the Invictus Games.

Her blue wool sweater featured red poppy embroidery.

The flowers notably honored the veterans and family members Markle, 42, and Harry, 39, shook hands with at the Marine Corps base camp.

The former actress incorporated the same flower into her outfit when she changed into a Giorgio Armani suit later that same day for the opening of a new veterans’ training facility.

Markle’s silk button-front blazer ($3,095) — which she paired with matching palazzo trousers ($1,695) — was pinned with a Royal British Legion poppy.

Harry wore the same accessory on his own suit’s lapel.

The couple matched in all-black outfits earlier this week while in Las Vegas watching the final show of Katy Perry’s “Play” residency.

She and Harry also partied with Wall Street billionaire Ken Griffin and “super networker” Michael Kives while in Sin City.
