Woman 'Going Through Hard Times' Found Dead In Her Room In Rivers State

The lifeless body of a woman has been found in her room within the Ogbumbada compound in Rumalogu, located in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

According to an undisclosed source, the deceased, identified as Blessing Williams, was found on Thursday. The source, who requested anonymity, revealed that the single mother had been facing challenging circumstances.

Notably, the deceased and her son had been receiving assistance from her mother for several days, making her sudden demise all the more shocking.

The source narrated “This morning, I was in my house when the son was passing by. So, my mom called him and asked how his mom was.

“He said his mom is fine. He then asked the boy to go home, have his birth, and come back so that she would give him some money to get something for him and his mom.

“Not up to 20 minutes; he rushed back and said he had been calling his mom, and she was not answering.”

The source further elaborated, saying, “I accompanied him, and indeed, we found his mom dead. For the past three days, we have been the ones providing them with sustenance.”

Efforts to contact the spokesperson for the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, regarding the latest incident proved unsuccessful, as her mobile phone was unreachable.
