A San Francisco resident said he was attacked by a homeless woman after he told her to stop smoking fentanyl near a children‘s playground.

Darren Stallcup was walking around the neighborhood when he spotted multiple drug users smoking in close proximity to the park – and said that there were no police officers around to help the situation.

In the video, the woman, who seems to be set up in her own tent sprawling on the sidewalk, can be heard saying she ‘doesn’t care’ and she can ‘smoke where she wants to.’

People smoking substances are then seen lining the wall that directly neighbors the playground, where kids were seen and heard playing in broad daylight.

Stallcup shared the video, along with the caption: ‘San Francisco. Woman attacks me for telling Her not to smoke fentanyl next to children’s playground.

‘Behind her, 5+ People smoking fentanyl next to Children’s playground.

‘Multiple San Francisco Police Cars, not an officer in sight. Children need a fentanyl free environment, not a fentanyl filled environment. This is a damn shame.’

The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office said three hundred people have been arrested under drug laws and for outstanding warrants as a result.

Mayor London Breed said in a statement: ‘Shutting down open air drug markets is critical to the safety of our neighborhoods and the overall health of our city.

‘We will continue to offer help to people in crisis, but we must hold people accountable who are hurting our communities.’

San Francisco is also part of Operation Overdrive – a federal Department of Justice initiative launched to aid local authorities disrupt criminal drug networks.
