Mark Zuckerberg was caught on camera flexing his muscles on a wakeboard as his new UFC superstar friends Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovski lounged in the back of the boat – after the Meta CEO previously wiped out on his hydrofoil.
Zuckerberg, 39, was sporting a life jacket and little shorts as he attempted to ride the waves off the back of the boat, while the UFC stars lounged and the eclectic track ‘Daydreaming’ played in the background.
Adesanya took the video, panning from himself tanning, to the surrounding sunset views, before zooming into Zuckerberg who appeared to be deeply concentrated on the waves around him.
The Meta CEO saw more success than in 2020, when he experienced a major wipeout on his $12,000 hydrofoil, all while in front of a laughing female companion, who captured it on camera.
Adesanya and Volkanovski both flew in to visit Zuckerberg at his Northern California home after UFC 290 in Las Vegas on Saturday night, according to TMZ.
The billionaire appeared to have gone easy on the sunscreen this year, unlike in 2020 when he was snapped with his face completely plastered in a thick layer of the white lotion.
Adesanya posted the video of the trio soaking up the sun to his Instagram on Wednesday. It is unclear where exactly the boating excursion took place.
Zuckerberg hung out with his new clique over the weekend as well.
He showed off his ripped physique ahead of his hyped billionaire bout with Twitter rival Elon Musk after emerging out of a training sessions with UFC stars.
On Tuesday, the Meta boss posed for snaps with UFC Featherweight Champion, Alex Volkanovski, and two-time UFC Middleweight champ’ Israel Adesanya at a gym in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
‘No fugazi with Mark,’ shared Adesanya on Instagram along with an emoji of a shark. ‘This is Serious Business!!’
Zuckerberg commented a post by stating that ‘it’s an honor to train with you guys!’ as he gets himself in shape for his fight against Musk, who he’s been embroiled in a spat with since the launch of Threads – a new competitor to Twitter – earlier this month.
Zuckerberg is believed to a be a big fan of UFC and in recent years has developed a friendship with Volkanovski. They have worked together in the past for a Metaverse virtual reality project.
‘Yeah, he’s a mate,’ Volkanovski said last year before a fight. ‘I knew well before he made the appearance at the UFC that he’s a big fan. He loves the sport.’
